Al-Insan

The Man

Al-Insan begins with human insignificance and a created capacity for hearing and sight, then presents guidance as a test of gratitude. The righteous fulfill commitments and feed the needy, orphan, and prisoner without seeking thanks or reward from them. Their patience receives a richly described welcome, comfort, and accepted endeavor. The Prophet is told to remain patient, remember Allah, and resist sinful pressure. The final invitation holds together meaningful human response and dependence on Allah's wise will and mercy.
