An-Nasr

The Divine Support

An-Nasr describes divine help, victory, and people entering Allah's religion in large numbers. The response commanded is praise of the Lord and seeking His forgiveness. Public success becomes an occasion for humility rather than self-congratulation. Allah's readiness to accept repentance closes the chapter with mercy. Its short structure redirects attention from visible achievement toward the inner stance of the recipient, whose dependence and need for forgiveness continue even at a moment of triumph.

Traditionally associated with the later Madinan period and completion of the Prophet's mission, the chapter is also understood in transmitted reports as signaling his approaching departure.
